Life Chain – “Respect Life Sunday” Event Date: Sep 30, 2012
Students and staff from the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board are invited to take part in the annual Life Chain on “Respect Life Sunday,” September 30, 2012. This peaceful gathering hopes to link individuals in our community – young and old – in a ‘life chain’ to give silent public witness to the sacredness of life from conception to natural death.
Life Chain will be held from 2:30 to 3:30pm at three different locations in Hamilton:
- Upper James & Mohawk Road
- Centennial Parkway & Highway #8, Stoney Creek
- McMaster Medical Centre
The event is supported by the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board and its Culture of Life Committee. The Culture of Life committee was formed in May 2006 to bring the vision of Pope John Paul II from his 1995 encyclical Evangelium Vita (The Gospel of Life) more fully into schools.
