HWCDSB kicks off United Way Employee Campaign (Oct 15—Nov 16, 2012)

Change starts here … with the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board. The board kicked off its employee campaign on Monday, October 15th at a breakfast meeting where school and board reps were thanked for bringing the campaign back to their schools and buildings. This year’s campaign goal of $85,000 will help move people in the community out of poverty, improve access to social and health-related support services, and help kids do well in school and complete high school. Donations to the United Way support 131 programs and services in Hamilton and Burlington, including after-hours programs in various Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic schools.

“It’s amazing when you start talking to people how many families in our own school communities rely on the United Way,” says Mary Jane Rossi, co-chair of the United Way Employee Campaign Steering Committee. “Change really does start here with us.”

The United Way employee campaign runs from October 15 to November 16.

This year, please give generously …
