In a whirlwind of sun, sand, and spikes, the St. John Henry Newman Catholic Secondary School senior boys volleyball team recently returned from an unforgettable tournament in Hawaii. Amidst the cheers, victories, and moments of teamwork that defined their experience, the team and coaching staff are deeply grateful to the generous sponsors, parents, and school community who made this dream trip a reality.

Gathered on the picturesque shores of Hawaii, the team showcased their skills and sportsmanship in a series of intense matches against schools from across the island. This tournament was not just about competition—it was an opportunity for the athletes to grow, learn, and form lasting bonds.

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of the sponsors, parents and Catholic school community, who believed in the team and its potential.

Speaking about the impact of the trip, Coach Pavy shared, "This journey was much more than just volleyball. It was a chance for our team to come together, grow as individuals, and create lifelong memories. Our sponsors made all of this possible, and we are immensely thankful for their generosity."

As the team returns home with hearts full of gratitude and a newfound sense of camaraderie, they look forward to carrying the spirit of Hawaii with them into future games and endeavours.

From SJHN, Mahalo Nui Loa—thank you very much—to all for making this Hawaii tournament an experience we will never forget.
