The Native Youth Advancement With Education Hamilton (N.Y.A.W.E.H) endeavours to provide a culture-based support system that will enable Aboriginal students to flourish within Hamilton's Secondary School Environment.
N.Y.A.W.E.H cultivates the relationship between the culture of Aboriginal people and mainstream education. Both forms are integral to the progress of Aboriginal youth and are viewed as necessary assets in builing healthy individuals, communities and nations.

Day/Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday - 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m.
The NYA WEH program is directed to assist and support Status, Non-status, Métis, and Inuit students (as rationalized by the Federal Goverment of Canada's Indian Act) in Secondary Education In the Hamilton Area.

The voluntary and confidential self-identication process will help to determine if students of Aboriginal ancestry, especially those who experience gaps in their education, are receiving the appropriate level of support to achieve their full potential.
