Displays, music, magic, theatre and song – it was all part of Culture Knight, an annual talent show hosted by the St. Thomas More Diversity Committee School on May 23 to celebrate the talents of students from a variety of cultural backgrounds. The evening was organized as a fundraiser for De Mazenod Door, a community outreach operated by St. Patrick Church, and STM More Outreach.
New this year were displays in the cafeteria prepared by students in art, food and nutrition, world religion and drama classes to showcase their work of the past semester. Pre-show musical entertainment was provided by the STM Jazz Band.
Lights dimmed as 23 talented students took to the stage for performances that ranged for singing, dance, drumming, magic, theatre, skits and more.
“We are so very proud of each and every Knight that gave their very best and all for two great causes,” said teacher-advisor Amy Martyres.
The STM Diversity Committee organizes many initiatives and activities for the student body throughout the school year.
