Thanks to the Bulldogs Foundation, 1,200 little heads will be protected from the elements this winter.
As part of the Bulldogs Foundation’s Adopt-A-School Program, all eight Equal Opportunities Schools were recipients of approximately 150 toques each.
“The Bulldogs are committed to ensuring that our students stay warm throughout these winter months,” said Equal Opportunities Consultant John Madalena.
The donation was made possible thanks to many sponsors, including: FirstOntario Credit Union, Canadian Tire, Hamilton-Brantford Building Trades, Paletta Foundation, Scotiabank, and CIBC Children’s Foundation.
Helping make the donation all the more special, Hamilton Bulldogs Mascot Bruiser hand-delivered the toques to each of the schools.
“We at St. David are proud to be Hamiltonians in support of the Hamilton Bulldogs Foundation,” said Principal Anna Boyle. “We are so appreciative of the generosity shown to our school.”
In addition to the toques, the foundation continues to provide monetary support to the breakfast program at the Equal Opportunities Schools, including Cathedral High School.
Pre-covid, the foundation has also participated in Snuggle Up and Read Programs with some of the Bulldog players reading to our students.
