Close to 50 individuals across the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board were recently presented with a “Yes I Can” award from the Ontario Council for Exceptional Children (CEC).

CEC is a community of educators and partners in learning dedicated to advancing the success of students with exceptionalities in Ontario.

Each year, students are recognized for their achievements in nine categories, including academic, self-advocacy, community service, technology, independent living skills, employment, arts, extracurricular, and athletics. This year, students and staff were recognized for their achievements at their schools.

CEC’s mission is to improve, through excellence and advocacy, the education and quality of life for children and youth with exceptionalities and/or special needs.
