The Ontario government is preparing more students for careers in the skilled trades by investing $4.8 million to expand dual credits across the province.
Dual credit programs allow eligible students in high school to take college or apprenticeship courses that count towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma and a postsecondary certificate, diploma, degree or a Certificate of Apprenticeship.
Did you know that the HWCDSB is offers over 20 dual credit programs ?
Programs running at secondary schools in Semester 2 include:
• Early Childhood Education (ECE)
• English Communications
• Computer Programming
• Multimedia Technology
In addition, several half-day Dual Credit Bridge Programs are available to HWCDSB students and will be delivered on campus, at Mohawk College.
