Seven HWCDSB students were recognized by the Catholic Education Foundation of Ontario (CEFO) at the annual Father Patrick Fogarty Awards Dinner for embodying what it means to be a faith-filled and engaged Catholic student leader.
Each year, one student from every Ontario Catholic secondary school is honoured for academic excellence, leadership, community involvement, and conduct that reflects the values of Catholic education.
The event is named in memory of Father Patrick Fogarty, a champion of Catholic education in Ontario and across Canada.
The Catholic Education Foundation of Ontario also offers two additional awards, the Michael Carty and Michael Monk Awards, which support school-based initiatives that enhance the quality and distinctiveness of Catholic education.
