The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board’s third strategic goal — Promote a Culture of Christian Service — calls us to live the Gospel through Christian service, equity, and stewardship.

Christian service is more than simple actions; it is a way of life. We will continue to provide meaningful Christian service-learning opportunities for students that connect faith to action and promote compassion, humility, and justice.

This goal also reaffirms our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, equity, and the dignity of every person. We will strengthen relationships with Indigenous communities, advance the Board’s Dignity of the Human Person action plan, and ensure that resources are allocated where they are most needed — supporting every learner to realize the fullness of their humanity.

Good stewardship will guide our decisions, ensuring that the time, talent, and resources entrusted to are care are directed in ways that support the realization of our mission and strengthen our Catholic identity.

By promoting a culture of Christian service, we form students and staff who see faith not only as belief, but as action — living as disciples in service to others.
