Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair (BASEF).

Students from across the system earned recognition at the 2026 Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair (BASEF), building on their work at this year’s system science and engineering fair.
Students joined peers from Hamilton, Halton, Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk counties, as well as Six Nations, to present their projects and compete for a range of awards, scholarships, and prizes.
BASEF provides students with the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on inquiry, while sharing their ideas and research with the broader community. Their achievements reflect the Board’s continued commitment to the Multi-Year Strategic Plan, particularly the priority to Transform the Future through innovation, critical thinking, and real-world problem solving.
