Submitted by Teacher advisor Alicia Kopec:
On Wednesday, March 25, Cathedral High School’s Culture of Life Committee brought the school community together for its annual baby shower in support of Birthright Hamilton, an organization dedicated to helping mothers and families in need.
Led by the passionate student members of the committee, along with teacher advisors Alicia Kopec and Stephanie Martyres, the event was a joyful and meaningful celebration of life. In the days leading up to the shower, students and staff generously contributed donations, including essential baby items, which were collected throughout the week and later presented to Birthright Hamilton.
The baby shower itself was filled with energy and enthusiasm. Students enjoyed a variety of fun games, won exciting prizes, and shared snacks in a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Beyond the festivities, the event also highlighted an important message: the value and dignity of life from conception to natural death.
A special thank you goes to teacher Gregory Armacinski for photographing the event.
Overall, the baby shower was a tremendous success, both in terms of community participation and the support provided to mothers in need. Cathedral’s Culture of Life Committee continues to make a meaningful impact, reminding everyone of the power of compassion, generosity, and coming together for a good cause.
