In December, the studios of the Dundas Valley School of Art buzzed with energy as visual arts students from the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board came together for a dedicated day of creation and collaboration.
Moving beyond the traditional classroom setting, the event offered students a hands-on opportunity to participate in specialized workshops designed to expand their technical skills. Aspiring artists explored a variety of media, including pottery, printmaking, drawing, painting, and collage, while refining their portfolios and discovering new creative possibilities. Perhaps most importantly, the day served as a bridge between schools, allowing students to step beyond their individual classrooms to share their work, exchange ideas, and celebrate their God-given gifts, fostering a board-wide community of creativity and shared talent.
