Living Rosary at St. Paul CES
On June 10, the Grade 2/3, Grade 3, and Grade 3/4 classes welcomed Ms. Biundo, Elementary Religion and Family Life Consultant, to St. Paul Catholic Elementary School to lead a beautiful Living Rosary experience. With candles arranged to represent each bead of the Rosary, students entered the prayer space in awe and wonder. The atmosphere was peaceful and reverent as each student participated prayerfully, helping to lead the prayers and reflections.
Participating in a Living Rosary provided students with a meaningful and engaging experience of prayer. As each child represented a bead and led a prayer, they developed confidence, reverence, and a deeper understanding of the Rosary's structure and significance. "Coming together as one large group created a strong sense of belonging and community, helping students recognize that each person has an important role in prayer" said Ms. Biundo. As they prayed, students reflected on the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary, learning about key moments in the lives of Jesus and Mary. Meditating on these sacred events helped them connect the Gospel stories to their own lives and deepen their understanding of God's love and presence. Through this interactive prayer experience, students grew in their faith while learning the value of praying together as one family of God.
Following the Living Rosary, students shared thoughtful reflections about their experience. Many spoke about feeling the spirit of Jesus in their hearts, growing closer to Mary, and appreciating the opportunity for everyone to participate. They were especially moved by the candles arranged in the shape of the Rosary and described the experience as peaceful, calming, gentle, faith-filled, and unifying. Their reflections revealed the profound impact that this prayer experience had on their hearts and faith journey.
Ms. Biundo is so grateful for their reverence and prayerful participation, setting a wonderful example for one another and all students. Special thanks to the grade 8 girls who helped sent up the candles.
