Today marks the first official recognition of Ontario Day.
Observed annually on June 1, Ontario Day is an opportunity to celebrate everything that makes our province strong and unique. It is a time to reflect on Ontario’s rich history, diverse cultures, vibrant communities, and the many contributions of the people who help shape our province each day.
Ontario Day also provides an opportunity to recognize the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples, whose enduring presence continues to enrich and strengthen Ontario.
