St. Michael Catholic Elementary School recently hosted a Wellness Fair focused on student well-being, mental health, and social-emotional learning through a series of age-appropriate activities.

The initiative was led by school staff, including Sarah James, Teacher and ECO Representative, Coretta Edwards, Child and Youth Worker, and Michelle Brown, Public Health Nurse.

Students participated in several workshop stations, including Zumba, stretching and balloon activities incorporating yoga and full-body movement, and co-operative games such as the wooden egg and spoon race.

Additional stations included a Cultural Connections activity celebrating identity and background, a planting station where students planted seeds to reflect growth over time, and rosary making, where students created decade rosaries for prayer and reflection.

An Airplane Prayers station allowed students to anonymously write prayer intentions on paper airplanes.

As part of the event, students and staff also enjoyed healthy smoothies provided by Raw Roots Cafe.
