St. Michael Students Mark Holy Week with Stations of the Cross

During Holy Week, kindergarten students at St. Michael Catholic Elementary School participated in a reenactment of the Stations of the Cross, remembering Jesus’ journey and the sacrifice He made to save His people.
Weston played the role of Jesus, reenacting all fourteen Stations of the Cross. He demonstrated maturity, reverence, and compassion as he thoughtfully portrayed each station alongside his classmates. Weston was eager to participate and showed great respect while helping his peers remember the story of Jesus.
The school’s SK students were also eager to learn about and reflect on Jesus’ journey through reenactment, beautifully displaying their love for Him. During a discussion with the students, Principal Mrs. A. Boyle asked why Jesus died on the cross. A student responded, “To save us, because He loves us.” Mrs. Boyle then asked why Veronica wiped Jesus’ face, to which a student replied, “Because He had sweat on His face. He was hot and tired.” When asked why Mary was so sad when she saw her son Jesus, a student shared, “He is hurt. Mary loves Him. Mary wants to help her Son.”
This experience was a beautiful and meaningful way for students to deepen their understanding of Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice and His great love for His people.
