Summer Non-Credit Programs for Incoming Grade 9 Students
The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board is offering two summer learning opportunities for students entering Grade 9 this fall.
Mastering Math is a two-week program designed to review key Grade 8 math concepts while introducing important Grade 9 math skills. Students will strengthen their understanding of topics such as fractions, integers, ratios, rates, and solving equations.
Level Up Literacy focuses on building literacy and digital skills through activities that enhance reading comprehension, writing, listening, speaking, research, and digital readiness. The program helps students develop the confidence and skills needed for a successful transition to high school.
Programs will run from July 6–17, 2026 and are offered in person at:
St. Jean de Brébeuf Catholic Secondary School (200 Acadia Drive)
Cathedral High School (30 Wentworth Street North)
Registration closes on Friday, June 19, 2026.
