On World Teachers’ Day, we celebrate the extraordinary impact of our Catholic teachers and the difference they make each day in the lives of our students.
Much of that difference is found in the often invisible work of teaching: easing worries, building confidence, healing hurts, inspiring minds, rekindling dreams and offering a little hope when it is needed most.
Through their care, faith and commitment, our teachers help young people discover their gifts, recognize their God-given potential and become who God has called them to be.
For our Catholic teachers, this is also part of the deeper “why” of their vocation: to build the Church of God through their witness, their service and, most importantly, through the children entrusted to their care. The fruit they nurture in the lives of their students transforms our world.
On World Teachers’ Day, we thank our teachers for all they do, both seen and unseen, and for the lasting difference they make in the lives of our students.
