On March 5, 2025, students and staff from across the Diocese of Hamilton made a pilgrimage to the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King for Noon Mass on Ash Wednesday.
The Ash Wednesday Mass wove together the significance of the liturgical season of Lent and the current Jubilee Year as Pilgrims of Hope. In his homily, His Excellency Bishop Crosby reminded everyone of their mortality and encouraged everyone to strengthen their relationship with Christ during this Lenten season while striving to be Pilgrims of Hope within their Catholic school communities.
His Excellency Bishop Douglas Crosby presented student leaders with the gift of a pilgrimage cross. The pilgrimage crosses were blessed, and students received a commissioning blessing as they were sent forward at the conclusion of Mass. The pilgrimage crosses will serve as a symbol of hope throughout the Jubilee Year.
