St. Mary Musicians Bring "Voices of Spring" to St. Joseph’s Villa

On March 21, 2025, the talented musicians of the St. Mary Catholic Secondary School’s Jazz Band and Chamber Choir filled the St. Joseph’s Villa Auditorium with the joyful sounds of their "Voices of Spring" performance. Approximately 60 residents and staff were treated to an uplifting hourlong concert featuring folk songs, jazz arrangements and stunning solos by band members.
“Beyond the music itself, one of the most cherished moments of the morning was the heartwarming interaction between students and residents following the concert,” said Music Teachers Nancy Boss and Roberto Santos.
“The positive social connections made the event even more special.”
The success of the event was echoed by Don Davidson, CEO of the St. Joseph’s Villa Foundation, who, in commending the students’ musical talents and meaningful interactions, described the experience as “truly inspiring.”
The impact of the concert extended beyond the auditorium with a slideshow featuring photos and videos from the performance, now displayed on TV screens throughout the Villa’s two towers and all resident home areas.
“It was a pleasure hosting St. Mary students at the Villa,” shared a member of the Villa’s Therapeutic Recreation Team.
“The feedback was wonderful from the Villa residents, and we’re hoping this ‘Voices of Spring’ performance becomes an annual event.”
