St. Patrick celebrates Ash Wednesday

During an Ash Wednesday celebration, students at St. Patrick Catholic Elementary School were called to reflect on how they can use the season of Lent for personal growth.
To illustrate this growth, Celebrant Father Jarek Pachocki compared it to planting a seed.
If you plant kindness, helpfulness, and respect, you’ll grow into an even better version of yourself, he noted.
Sharing more ideas on what it means to plant seeds, Father Pachocki encouraged students to focus on adopting positive actions—such as refraining from gossip, helping their parents with dinner, and being a better friend.
As students lined up to receive their ashes, they were called to turn away from sin and be faithful to the gospel.
“You are loved by God. You are beloved children of God. Believe that. Be kind, be good, plant seeds, and let them grow.”
